We supply food to Hindu temple across North West London. We have a kitchen where we prepare “Prasadam”(religious offering in Hindu temple) which is offered to devotees who visit Hindu temples and indeed to the canteen at the temple through our catering service. We also prepare pure vegetarian Jain food exclusively for the deities of the temple.
Our requirements
We are on the lookout for a Hindu Religious Chef with a minimum 12 months training and experience in a similar role is essential. The applicant must be a strict vegetarian and will have the following duties and responsibilities: Prepare “Prasadam” food in the kitchen following all religious fundamentals required for the purity of cooking, offered to the deities, on a daily basis. Prepare food which we supply to the Hindu temples across North West London for the devotees and the temple canteen which includes Laddu, Vada, Kara Sev and other food, as per the preparation guidelines set by the temple. Ensure that the kitchen, which includes the store and dish washing area, is clean at all times. – Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Applicant’s should affirm their faith as a Hindu and as a pure vegetarian as the job role involves preparation of food for the Hindu temple in a traditional way and offering to the deities and devotees.

The applicant must be a strict vegetarian must adhere with fundamentals and principles of purity of preparing Hindu temple food. Must be an early riser and must have a bath before entering the kitchen and commencing work. Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner. Must comply with safety and security standards. Clear communication and a positive attitude, as well as working well with other employees- Follow and comply with all policies and procedures for preparing food for the temples we cater to.
